# Agent Front Desk

> Agent Front Desk is an AI receptionist for WordPress websites: a suite of plugins that runs inside your own WordPress, answers visitors by chat and browser voice from your own pages, captures and scores leads, books meetings only after the visitor confirms, hands over to a person live, and syncs to your CRM (HubSpot built in). It is GPL code, uses your own API keys, and is set up by NextAgency.

Status: private beta with limited spots. Each implementation is set up by hand and quoted per business. No price list is published. Agent Front Desk is built by NextAgency. It is not affiliated with other products called AI Front Desk or Frontdesk.

## What it does
- Chat and browser voice from one assistant that answers from the site's own WordPress pages and posts, plus uploads and written answers.
- Captures and scores leads. Proposes bookings; nothing is booked until the visitor confirms.
- Live human takeover in chat. Callback requests create a lead and notify staff.
- CRM sync: HubSpot add-on built in (contacts, notes, meetings, and companies, deals and owners when scopes allow). Other CRMs are connected during implementation as a small plugin on a documented interface.
- MCP add-on: a remote MCP server in the customer's WordPress. OAuth 2.1 for ChatGPT and claude.ai custom connectors, tokens or application passwords for Claude Code and Claude Desktop. Read-only or read and write. 15 tools.
- Analytics with cost per lead, team roles (owner, staff), audit log, WCAG 2.2 AA admin and widget.

## The suite (WordPress plugins)
- Agent Front Desk (core): Chat, knowledge from your WordPress pages and posts, leads and scoring, booking with confirmation, live handover, conversations, analytics, audit log, roles, and the widget.
- Voice add-on: Browser voice through your own ElevenLabs account. WordPress mints the signed session; your ElevenLabs key never reaches the browser.
- HubSpot add-on: Contacts, notes, meetings, and companies, deals and owners when the scopes allow. Field mapping, a scope table, a sync log and retry.
- MCP add-on: 15 tools for Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT: tokens or application passwords, and OAuth 2.1 for the ChatGPT and claude.ai connectors.

## How this differs from other categories
- Phone-only AI receptionists and answering services: usually rented per month or per minute. This runs inside your own WordPress, with your own accounts.
- Chat-only website bots: this adds voice, lead scoring, confirmed booking, live handover and CRM sync.
- Voice-agent builders: those are toolkits. This is a finished, customized installation.
- CRM-native agents: this works with your CRM and your website, and you own the code and data.

## Facts
- Private beta. Implementation priced per business; no numbers published.
- Business model: self-hosted with no lock-in. Paid work is setup and customization. Updates and support are optional through a license key. No feature is gated.
- AI, voice and email usage is billed by the vendors to the customer, at cost, on the customer's own accounts. About $0.01 per chat turn and about $0.08 per voice minute at list prices (November 2026).
- Requirements: WordPress 6.6+ (MCP add-on 6.9+), PHP 8.1+, HTTPS, pretty permalinks, an Anthropic API key. ElevenLabs, HubSpot, OpenAI or Voyage and an SMTP plugin are optional.
- GPL code. No iframes. Customer customizations live in the customer's own plugin on a versioned extension API.

## Limits
- Live phone answering is not part of the WordPress suite yet. A callback request form is.
- Staff can take over chat. Handover polls about every 2.5 seconds.
- A real calendar (Google, Outlook) needs a calendar connector built per client. Booking rules and local slots are built in.
- Salesforce and Pipedrive connectors are not built yet; other CRMs are built as part of an implementation.
- The ChatGPT and claude.ai connector flows were verified with the official MCP client over OAuth 2.1; the apps' own screens are confirmed with each customer at install. No store listing or approval is claimed.
- Multisite is untested. Scanned image PDFs are not read.
- Harborline Systems, shown in demos, is a fictional client. The demo video's admin screens are the standalone build of the same assistant.
